There are two different experimental approaches in this report, and so
the methods, results, and discussion sections must describe them both. In the introduction,
be sure that you describe the experimental questions, and explain why Drosophila is a good experimental
organism to study these questions, and
describe the use of deficiencies to perform complementation mapping. In the
result and discussion sections, be sure to explain crosses and the relevant
cross progeny that allowed to characterize the E.4.1. phenotype and map the
E.4.1. mutation to a specific location in the genome, and how you selected a
candidate gene for further analysis. Do not address the PCR primer design in
this lab report – that is for lab reports 2 and 3. This lab report will describe your findings from:
·
Labs 2, and 4, i.e., Phenotype of the E.4.1
mutation.
·
Labs 3, 5, 6, 8, and 11 (Complementation Mapping IV
only), i.e., Complementation Mapping of the E.4.1 mutation. So, I insist that the writer please use all the lab presentations that I upload to help better understand the how to write the report. The writer should cite the sources I provide and only online sources that are accessible to any and everyone. These sources must be peer reviewed sources as well. The Hales et al 2015 and Atlas of Drosophilia Morphology, which is otwo of sources I will upload for writer to use include in the report when citing. I ask that the writer include a title page with my name: Abdoul Barry, School: Northern Illinois Univ., Course: Genetics 308, and Date: 11/9/21. The writer should also include a reference page.
Also, the writer should use the Genetics 308 Lab manual to help complete lab report. On page 65 of the lab manual gives a better understanding on how the lab report should be completed.
