Read the short article on a Virginia fight club published by the Washington Post (link below):
https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/for-8-years-he-held-a-grudge-could-a-6-minute-fight-with-his-enemy-end-it/2019/09/27/9598d020-e15f-11e9-8dc8-498eabc129a0_story.html
b) If you think that a fight club is a good idea to settle personal disputes, then go back and write your post using the guidelines given for male students, but consider if you or other women will be willing to settle a dispute through a fist fight.
c) Most female students would probably agree that a fist fight is sort of a guy thing to settle personal disputes, not a serious option for most women. Therefore, if you disagree with this approach, write in your post an alternative method or process to settle personal disputes for women that could be equivalent to a fight club. Think outside the box and (use all the class material discussed so far to) explain in detail what that option could be (let you creative out to submit this assignment!). For instance, playing a chess match and whoever wins is the winner of the dispute (this example is taken, you cannot use for your post).
Your first posts should be between 200 and 240 words in length (the equivalent of three medium size paragraphs). Remember that all posts must be substantive and meaningful. Merely agreeing with or disagreeing with a classmate is not an academic contribution. A meaningful post is when the discussion moves forward in an academic way by providing one’s perspective—including facts and evidence—and assessing both or multiple sides of the issue at stake. Then framing or reframing the debate in new and dynamic ways.
