but unfortunately you have used only one of the readings in this re-submitted assignment. You have used the concept of labels from the article by McDermott and Varenne, but you haven’t used any other concept from either of the other two articles (Ong; Strauss). There is material in your observations that you could use to bring in concepts from those readings. For example, you could talk about the different sub social worlds that girls and boys are brought up in, and the way that girls are required to use their bodies to try to fit gender expectations (you write about selfies, etc). You have made the observations but you haven’t connected them to concepts from the readings.
If you’d like to take another week to try and use concepts from articles (Ong and Strauss), you could do that.
