Write an essay that explains your biblical theology of this year’s societal challenge: racism (tribalism).
The goal of this essay is to discern and develop a paper that interweaves what the Bible says about this subject along with your interpretation of these passages, so as to present your view(s) on racism. What I don’t want is a listing of Bible verses. I also don’t want merely your unstudied opinion about racism. I want your study and interpretation of relevant biblical texts that deal with racism filtered into a position paper.
To do this, you don’t necessarily need to consult anything besides your deep thoughts and your Bible. However, you may use other source if you would like, especially commentaries or similar to make sure your interpretation of a specific biblical passage is generally accurate.
You don’t need a cover page, footnotes, or bibliography. Your grade will be dependent on three factors:
1) Your precise handling and interpretation of the biblical text(s) under discussion.
2) Your ability to think deeply and argue your view with biblical and cultural nuance.
3) The clarity and conciseness of your writing.
