SUBMIT: Essay Blueprint
This week instead of immediately writing the essay we are going to first come up with and write a blueprint (also known as an outline) for the essay.
To prepare for this assignment first read the essay “America: A Blend of Capitalism and Socialism” found on pp. 231-232. Then carefully study the blueprint for this essay found on p. 230. Take note of how this writer uses the blueprint to help her organize and prepare for the actual writing of her draft.
Now go to the bottom of p. 236 and find the options for writing your Comp/Contrast essay in the blue box labeled: YOUR PAPER.
You will now choose one of those options as the subject matter for your blueprint and essay. Once you have selected your subject write a complete blueprint for your essay (to be written in the following week) just like the blueprint found on p. 230.
