This assignment is designed to assess your analytical thinking and reasoning ability on issues relating to human rights in America. You should form your own answers based on class materials, including but not limited to class discussions, the discussion board, readings, films, and supplementary research sources you locate. Your take-home exam response should be 1200-1400 words.
The Take Home Exam is due DECEMBER 6 at 11 AM submitted via Canvas. Late take-home exams will be reduced by one letter grade and an additional letter grade for each day late thereafter.
Additional Guidelines: This assignment, testing your analytical thinking, should be more than descriptive. You should develop an argument in your exam and provide evidence to back it up. To be specific, you should have a thesis, marshal arguments in support of the thesis, use evidence and logic to back up those supporting arguments, recognize counterarguments to your position and rebut them. You should cite sources, including but not limited to quotations, with brief parenthetical references. What is important is not which side you take, but the arguments you develop in support of your position.
