Explain how you plan to get the word out about the band and the album release?

work on a project that provides an outline on the recording, advertising, distribution, and release of a music album for an artist of their choosing for the final project. A hard copy of the project is due on the last day of class – Tuesday, Nov. 30 – as is a short presentation regarding the project.
The project will require several hours of time outside of the classroom to research, write, edit and revise. Make plans for this to occur now and don’t procrastinate. I recommend working on this assignment a minimum of one hour per week over the course of the term. Specifically, this equates to a minimum of 16 hours total.
The project consists of several components:
The band: Choose a band (living or not) that you’d like to work with to release an album. You must justify why you chose this band and provide research from at least three authoritative sources – books, journal articles, trade magazines, etc. You should also include any personal reasons you’d like to work with the artist.
Recording: As the executive in charge of this project, you’ll need to choose a recording studio to handle tracking the band. You must justify why you chose the studio and provide research from at least three authoritative sources – books, journal articles, trade magazines, etc.
Further, you will need to delineate how many songs the album will contain and justify why that specific number was chosen. You must provide research from at least three authoritative sources – books, journal articles, trade magazines, etc.
Additionally, you’ll need to consider the audio engineer you’ll have working with the band. You must justify why you chose the engineer and provide research from at least three authoritative sources – books, journal articles, trade magazines, etc.
Advertising: How do you plan to get the word out about the band and the album release? As the executive in charge of this project, you’ll need to choose an advertising avenue or avenues to handle this duty. You must justify why you chose the avenue(s) as well as providing research from at least three authoritative sources – books, journal articles, trade magazines, etc.
Once the album is complete, you’ll need to think about how to best distribute it. As the executive in charge of this project, you’ll need to choose a distribution avenue or avenues to handle this duty. You
must justify why you chose the avenue(s) as well as providing research from at least three authoritative sources – books, journal articles, trade magazines, etc.
Album art: As the executive in charge of this project, you’ll need to create the cover art used for the album. How you create this is up to you as there are numerous software programs available and at your disposal. You should create an appendix in the release document and place your artwork in it. You should justify why you chose the cover art providing research from at least three authoritative sources – books, journal articles, trade magazines, etc.
Album Release Party: Once the album is ready to drop, an album release party should occur to generate some buzz about the album and artist. As the executive in charge of this project, you’ll need to choose a venue to handle the party as well as be able to accommodate a live performance from the band. You must justify why you chose the city, venue and caterer (include a food and drink menu and any swag you think appropriate!) as well as providing research from at least three authoritative sources – books, journal articles, trade magazines, etc. on each – three on the city, three on the venue, and three on the caterer/food.
Don’t forget about hiring a live sound crew to make the band sound freakin’ awesome and rock the house. As the executive in charge of this project, you’ll need to choose a live music/concert production company to handle this chore. You must justify why you chose the company and provide research from at least three authoritative sources – books, journal articles, trade magazines, etc.
Lest we not forget: What is one of the most important parts of the party? Who to invite to it, of course! Provide a list of 10 must-have guests and why they were invited to the shindig. Place this list in the appendix along with the cover art.
If you have questions about whether a source for any of these respective areas is authoritative or not, please ask me before using it and finding out it wasn’t appropriate.
The writing of the album release document should flow and transition well. The best way to accomplish this is to write the document up (introduction, body, and conclusion formula) and then create an executive summary (format examples: https://writingcenter.uagc.edu/writing-executive-summary; https://www.fels.upenn.edu/sites/default/files/5_executive_summary_examples.pdf; http://ewc.umgc.edu/ewc/web/exec_summary.html; https://libguides.usc.edu/writingguide/executivesummary) to be placed after the cover sheet and before the paper proper.
The executive summary is a stand-alone piece which introduces the reader to your larger body of written work. As this is the first impression you will make on the reader, it is vitally important you craft this piece well.
Overall, the executive summary is a synopsis of what will be detailed in each area of the more comprehensive paper and is typically one to three pages in length. An executive summary provides a project overview in few words without omitting the main points so the reader can have an overview of the whole document in brief without going through the whole of it. This is an especially helpful technique to know how to construct for top-level executives that don’t have time to read through the whole of the report but need information to make an informed decision about a project.
You should cite resources in the body of the executive summary and release document (use APA style; format example: https://writingcenter.uagc.edu/apa-citing-within-your-paper) and create a references page (format example: https://writingcenter.uagc.edu/format-your-reference-list) at the end of the
document but placed just before the appendix containing the album art and guest list that contains all the references used.
Grammar, spelling and punctuation are important in this assignment. Each GSP error will cost you five points.
So far as the format of the paper is concerned, please use 1-inch margins, Times New Roman font, double space the paper, and block paragraphs. You should also use headings for each portion of the executive summary and the paper proper.
