Use this list in order to choose an appropriate subject for your essay:

experience is significant.
• Describe an important person and explain this individual’s impact on your life.
• Narrate an experience with a task that you found (or still find) difficult or challenging.
• Describe a memento and explain how it represents an important moment in your
development.

• In your introduction, include a thesis statement that will clearly state the main idea of
your essay. The thesis will govern the structure and organization of the essay.
• Utilize narrative strategies in order to bring your story to life.
• Seek to use dialogue where necessary in order to increase the descriptive quality of your
narrative.
