Would you want to know if you were at high risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease, now that a new test is available?

This week, we learned about Alzheimer’s Disease:

1. Would you want to know if you were at high risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease, now that a new test is available? Even though there has been a test for Huntington’s disease, a disease wtih a genetic basis, many individuals at risk prefer not to know if they will develop that disease. In the first paragraph of your main post, discuss the pros and cons of knowing or not knowing whether you are at high risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease.

2. In the second paragraph of your main post, write what you believe or know about getting old. Compare what is commonly “known,” which is rife with misinformation and myths (e.g., “You forget things,” “You lose interest in sex,” “You’re in pain all the time”), to the actual facts about later life.
