Are Innovations Cost Effective and Providing Value?

To prepare for this discussion:
Find a new drug, treatment, or medical device that has been reviewed by the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review(ICER) and in a public newspaper such as the New York Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe, or Wall Street Journal.
On the ICER website:
Review the information about the organization and their methods and processes.
Go to “Assessments” and select one of the more recently completed assessments.
Check for articles in the media about the ICER assessment topic you chose to be sure that you will have a media report to compare with the ICER evaluation.
Initial Post
Submit an initial post that includes the following:
Your analysis of the extent to which the public media adequately report on the cost benefits of the drug, device, or treatment and whether there is a bias that you discern in the omissions or inaccuracies.
If the articles discuss pricing and pricing controversies, how do you see the economic principles discussed in Dewar (2017) driving the pricing decisions? If you think that there is a bias, explain why.
Your initial post should be 500–700 words, reference at least 2 scholarly resources, and use APA formatting for citations and references.
