Please watch the following videos that discuss and address the racial issues we face today, especially with regards to Confederate Monuments, the Confederate Flag and other symbols of the Civil War that influenced and explained Institutionalize Racism in the South and in America. After you watch these videos, explain in your posts how you processed the information presented in the videos and your understanding of racism, Confederate monuments and flags today.
It is important to note that it was during the time period we are studying in the class right now, that most of the Confederate monuments were created by a group called “The Lost Cause” and that is why these videos are relevant to our study of American History.
