Students will investigate one of the landmark research studies in psychology listed below and
generate a formal 7-page (minimum) paper. The assignment must adhere to APA 7th edition style
and format (see APA style link on class homepage). The goal is to accurately describe the study
and findings while identifying the inaccuracies, discrepancies, and misunderstandings that may
have been involved in the process of the study or in the explanation and popularization of the
studies’ findings. This project requires a minimum of three (3) articles from scholarly journals,
one of which must be a primary source article (i.e. the original article, see citations below). The
use of popular, non-scholarly secondary sources (newspapers, magazine articles, films) is expected to flush out the scholarly sources but credibility, accuracy, and objectivity of those entities
is vital to consider.
