Write a research topic or question and construct a formal literature review investigating recent peer reviewed research.
Research on the cognitive, physiological, neurophysiological
and overall well-being connected with meditation has bloomed in the past few
years. Choose a research topic or question and construct a formal literature
review investigating recent peer reviewed research. The specific topic area is
your choice. Some possible topics are: pain, athletic performance,
neurophysiology, anxiety, depression, attention, happiness. Be sure to
integrate a critical analysis of the methods, results, discussion, and
conclusions of the research articles you include in your review. APA style
referencing is required.

The objectives of this assignment are as follows: ●
demonstrate your ability to write a research paper at a fourth-year level ●
expand your understanding of one specific area of meditation research, based on
valid scientific sources ● synthesize the body of research you reviewed, giving
the reader a clear understanding of the state of research in the field, the
strengths and weaknesses of the research, and some consideration of future
directions for study
Grading Criteria
Grading of this assignment is done in a holistic manner,
meaning that consideration is given to the document as a whole when assigning a
percentage grade. No one specific element is therefore given a maximum grading
allotment. Quality of content, understanding of material and articulation of
written thought will be evaluated for completeness, coherence and sophistication.
Documents are expected to follow the format and referencing style prescribed.
Deviation from prescribed format will result in a lower grade despite quality
of writing and content.

topic. ● Choose at least 4 Peer Reviewed Articles that are directly connected
to your research topic. The text of your document should flow smoothly as much
as possible. You may use your papers from first assignment OR choose new
ones. ● The body of your paper focuses on the core themes that have
surfaced based on the findings of your chosen articles. Organize this section
based on these themes that seem to be the main observations as the current
