1) Discuss about that affects disenfranchised peoples (e.g. Access to Clean Water for indigenous Communities in Plain States; Gentrification in Newark & Displacement for Poor and Working Class, Access to Affordable Healthcare, Gun Violence, Domestic Violence, etc.)
Be very specific with the issue and the population. This is NOT a history project. You CANNOT do a study on an event that has already happened (i.e. Occupy Wall Street, Black Panthers, etc.) What group is your activist project focused on supporting? (e.g. gender, race, class, location)
2) Research the topic. You need data, studies, testimonials, impact statements, etc. Think of the who, what, why, how, and where issues. Clearly the define with specific critical analysis.
3) Select an activist approach (recall Module 1) and provide a justification recall what you learned in Modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)
4) Develop an activist strategy plan. This is detailed and should include pros and cons, budget, time line, social media, etc. See these guidelines in previous announcement.
For example your plan could include the development of an APP (this should be operational), a website, newsletter, protest artwork (comic book, film, etc.
Work needs proper citation (MLA, APA, or Chicago), Bibliography.
