What is the history of human service delivery and/or policy in your topic area?

Select one aspect of services delivery or service gaps from the topic choices list above for the
focus of your analysis paper. Using information from the textbook, course materials and at least
3 other academic sources, with at least 2 peer reviewed academic journal articles, provide a
description of the significant historical data as it relates to your topic. Depending upon your topic
answer the following questions:
1. What is the history of human service delivery and/or policy in your topic area? (5 points)
2. What were the pivotal moments/times, key people and social movements that facilitated (15 points)
social change as it relates to your topic? Describe the current conditions/needs/gaps that
created a ripe environment for creating social change.
Utilizing the information you gathered to answer the first two questions above, analyze and
interpret the historical data in terms of:
Propose a change, refinement, addition, or expanse to services could help clients being
served within your topic area. This change could be at the micro, mezzo, or macro level.
Address at least 2 barriers to the proposed change and who would could be collaborative
in helping address the barriers.
Discuss how the historical data (lessons learned) could be used today in advocating for (10 points)
the populations identified (depending upon you topic selection)?
