Kimetsu No Yaiba, also referred to as Demon Slayer, is a Japanese Manga and anime adaption that incorporates thematic elements of trauma, death, resilience, and empathy with the constant aim to impede the, at times, seemingly inescapable narrative of death. Death serves as a catalyst that launches various main characters into the master plot of the hero’s journey which is an archetypal story pattern that presents itself here in the form of overcoming main antagonist demon king Muzan.
Attempt to place a focus on how death motivates the main character(s) and/or antagonist(s), and creates a specific “sense”. There can be a particular highlight of resilience as a thwarted death narrative. Attempt to tie this in to the authors main point which one might argue is overcoming obstacles and being resilient in the face of death. Particular focus on main character Tanjiro is preferred.
