The quality of online teaching and learning in EMI environment of AUAF

In ENG 215, the students are given a semester-long research project. In the process of completing the project, the students write three main assignments: An Evaluative Annotated Bibliography, a Research Proposal, and an IMRaD Research Paper. Each assignment will follow APA formatting and citation & referencing conventions.
The final outcome will be a polished research report (following the conventional IMRaD structure

) which will be an investigation of the quality of learning and/or feedback within online instruction in our EMI environment at AUAF and under emergency circumstances* (i.e. how teaching and learning at AUAF through EMI have been affected by the shift to emergency remote education).
The assignment will be done in three parts.
PART 2: The Research Proposal
The research proposal will include:
A Preliminary Title: This should indicate the topic/goal of the research – remember you need to write your own title (see the session and materials on writing titles).
Summary and Aims of the research: This should describe what you want to find out (aims and objectives) and present an argument to justify your research (why it is important).
A Preliminary Literature review: This should report any previous research (refer to the classes on literature reviews for how to organize this section), identify any limitations with or gaps in the literature, and describe how you intend to fill the gaps. Remember, this literature review will be made up of Move 1, Move 2, and Move 3.
Research Questions: Introduce and state your research questions.
Research Methods: This should describe your proposed methods of data collection and analysis, and it should also highlight any limitations and ethical or access issues.
