A research paper is an essay in which you explain what you have learned using your own ideas, opinions, and other sources, after exploring a topic in depth.
Objective
Construct cohesive research papers and other source-based assignments which narrow a specific subject for exploration, effectively incorporate source summaries, paraphrases, and quotes, employ MLA or other appropriate documentation, and avoid plagiarism
Choose one of the topics from your previous essays as your topic for the research paper. This should be something that you want to learn more about.
1.Develop a research question.
2.Compose a 3-5 page research paper that includes an introduction, several body paragraphs, and a conclusion.
3.The paper must fully explore your topic. It must be comprehensive. The main ideas must be explored in depth.
4.You may only include a maximum of five (5) sources both scholarly and popular sources.
5.The secondary source material should only take up 20-35% of your essay; the rest should be your original ideas, opinions, etc.
6.You must cite everything that is not your own words.
