Write an academic journal article from a relevant journal publication (e.g., public administration, management, policy, nonprofit) and write a 2-3 page double-spaced paper that includes two main sections: The first section should provide a short summary of the article and its research conclusions; the second section should explain and analyze how the article relates to one or more class topics (with references and applications from class readings, textbooks, and/or lecture notes).
Academic journals can be found through these journals (examples: Public Administration Review, American Political Science Review, Public Performance and Management Review, etc.).
The essay will be graded based on the following criteria:
1) Appropriate selection of an academic research journal article
2) The quality and comprehensiveness of the summary
3) Demonstrated understanding and application of class topics in analysis
4) Extensiveness of references from class materials (in-text and reference list)
5) Length, organization, writing, grammar, punctuation, spelling
