This is your last paper for the class. I’d like you to make it your most personal, and I’d like it to be an authentic experience. Now that you have watched Residente and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s “The Danger of a Single Story,” and after your discussions on the many topics pertinent to a single story, I’d like you to write a personal narrative of your own experience with a single story.
What “single story” have others held about you? How did you make a person see that you were not a single story? What was the process like? It could even be about a single story you had of yourself, of your own abilities or self-perception, and how you discovered that you were not that single story.
