An excellent project will provide the reader with a thorough understanding of the disability and how it impacts people. It will also explore the relationship with one of the disability studies topics. For example, does the information you find about the disability studies topic match the narrative that you found about what the disability is? Is the media representation of the disability positive or negative? Is there a disabled community of activists? You may find yourself doing a deep dive into one of the disability studies topics or finding a little about a few of them.

The first part of the assignment should include sources (links or title and publication names) to where you found information about the disability that you researched. Sources in this section should be factual vs. opinion based and should not include crowd sourced sites like Wikipedia. Your job is to relay to your classmates what the disability is and its impacts. This may include but is not limited to: traits and characteristics, symptoms, age of onset, prevalence, prognosis etc.
The second part of the assignment should include sources (links and publication names) to where you found information about the disability studies topic. This could include the textbook, any materials that have been posted in modules, discussion boards or new content that you have found in your research. These sources can include opinion and narratives, especially when written by people with disabilities. Your job is to relay to your classmates how the disability or the people with the disability relates or is connected to one or more of the following disability studies topics.
