Instructions for Family Study Paper
Purpose of Assignment:
Assignment Description: The student will be expected to observe one child between the ages of 1 and 5 years of age. In addition, a family interview will be conducted to discover additional information about the child’s development and support the family. During the interview, ask each family to identify an area about which they would like more information. and find resources to support the family’s request. This assignment allows the student to apply their knowledge of child development to an actual observation of a child. The goal is not to analyze the child for diagnosis. Rather, the goal is to identify behaviors, attitudes, actions, etc. in a child and relate those to the theories and information learned in this course. A 5 page write-up will then be produced based upon the information.
