Since the New Zealand dollar and the Australian dollar are quite similar, either of them could be effective. And the Japanese Yen and the Fuji dollar only take very few percent in the basket, as a result, there are just three main foreign currencies in the basket.
Through the equation given in the question, SUSD/WST = 0.138 + 0.195 × SUSD/NZD + 0.077 × SUSD/EUR, we could find out the amount of each kind of currency in the basket. Amount of US dollars in the basket $ = 0.138, amount of New Zealand dollars in the basket N = 0.195, and amount of Euro in the basket euro = 0.077. The equation to calculate 1 Tala value is 1 Tala = $ * SWST/USD + N * SWST/NZD + euro * SWST/EUR. As we already knew the current exchange rates are 2.5439 WST/USD, 1.9634 WST/NZD, and 3.7439 WST/EUR, the Tala value could be calculate that 1 Tala = 0.138 * 2.5439 + 0.195 * 1.9634 + 0.077 * 3.7439 = 1.022
