Students research a health or wellness topic relating to course content and outline the impact and various perspectives of this topic as it relates to an individual, a family, and society. Unlike the presentation assignment, this task should be ralated to your own personal experience !
Students identify any dimensions of wellness that are affected and explain the short- and long-term outcomes or forecast for the topic. For example ” Investigation of tanning beds : Is it worth putting up with its UV radiation at cost of risking our health ?”
Students should not select the topic chosen before in their first assignment nor from their classmates’ presentations. This assignment helps students learn about a topic from various perspectives. Students are assessed on their ability to apply course concepts, synthesize supporting evidence, reflect on diverse perspectives, and write cohesive paragraphs including a thesis statement that is fully supported throughout the paper. This 7-8 page paper consists of: 1) title page; 2) abstract; 3) four- to five-page body; and 4) reference page. The paper must cite at least four scholarly sources and be formatted in APA Style.
