Week three has Three DIFFERENTS PARTs: TOTAL 6 PAGES plus 20 poerpoint slides

1st part Discussion A: one page no included reference

Discuss
all of the following:
1. Discuss two characteristics of self-care.
2. How can a health care provider assist a client in taking
measures that will enhance her or his own health?
3. How do concepts of self-care impact health care policy?

2ND part Discussion B : 5 pages no included reference

Choose ONE of the
questions/topics below. Each requires a careful and critical reading of the compulsory
text. Note that “critical” need not mean “negatively critical”. Make a
persuasive argument that addresses the topic that goes beyond just summarizing
traditions, art, architecture, philosophy, religion, etc. Use the material from
the text as well as outside sources to justify a position that answers one of
the questions. This is an academic paper and should be written in a manner
fitting academia. This means proper grammar, organization, referencing, and
argumentative structure.
Your essay should be a
minimum of 1,500 words (excluding footnotes and/or references). Before
beginning your essay, look over the video provided in Canvas for tips
on writing essays.
Remember that you should
always justify your claim with arguments, and/or with reference to academic
work/examples from credible sources. Note: you are expected to do additional
reading and research beyond the material discussed in class. Simply
rehearsing class discussions or summarizing a religious tradition is not
sufficient. However, do not use Wikipedia or other unreliable resources.
You may use any citation
style you like (MLA, APA, Chicago Manual of Style, etc.). The important thing
is that you use it consistently and follow accepted guidelines. Sloppy or
incomplete citations reflect substandard academic work, and may negatively
impact your mark.
If you
have citation questions, see the following link: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/ (Links to an
external site.) (Links to an external site.)
1. Discuss
the rise of culture. How did developments in art and architecture reflect the
growing sophistication of prehistoric cultures?
2. Female
figurines outnumber representations of males in the Paleolithic era. Describe
these figurines and explain what possible function these sculptures served and
what this situation suggests about the role that women played in Paleolithic
and Neolithic culture. How might this compare to the modern world?
3. What
was Socrates’ greatest contribution to Greek culture or the modern world? What
should we take away from how Socrates sought to understand the world?
4. To what
extent are the Buddha’s teachings about the nature of reality in agreement with
those of modern science and can Buddhism be thought to be more of a philosophy
than a religion? Explain.
5. Characterize
imperial Rome, its dual sense of origin, and its debt to the Roman Republic.
How is this reflected in the art and literature of the time?
6. With
approval, you may, and are encouraged to choose your own paper topic relating
to the material that we have covered in class. It is imperative that whatever
topic you choose, you present an argument that requires logical organization
and a defense of a thesis using material from the course/outside research.
