Write about the broad spectrum of sexual indiscretions (harassment, assault, violence, abuse, trafficking, incest, rape, etc). Specifically, how common it is around the world and in day-to-day life/relationships/environments.
Here are some bullet points I had already written:
What should be done about this? What can be done about this? How can we stop offenders? How can we protect vitamins? How can we make them feel safer? How can we discuss this in school and work settings? How can we encourage victims to report? Sexual violations are far more common than people think and they take a much greater toll on most people than anyone cares to discuss, no matter how “big” or “small” the violation was or is. It can happen to women, men, children, adults, even animals. It can happen in a relationship, in a household, in public, between two strangers. A woman can assault a man. A woman can assault another woman. A man can assault a woman. A man can assault another man. It’s not just a black and white subject that we tend to overgeneralize. It can happen to everyone, anywhere, at any point, place, and time and there needs to be more information. Sexual assault within a family or relationship, from the same and opposite gender, from a stranger, and the lasting and varying effects each kind of harassment can have on you.
