1. You are to find a movie that entails something to do with Information
Systems. I do NOT want to see Star Wars, The Matrix, or Mission
Impossible movies. Any others are fine. It does not need to be a
current movie.
2. Write a synopsis of the movie and why you chose it. Please DO NOT
copy and paste something from Google describing the movie. Please
write this yourself.

3. Relate how this movie pertains to what you have learned this
semester. You may address topics such as: (This is not an inclusive
list of what you learned this semester. It is just some suggestions!)
a. What risks, threats, vulnerabilities did you observe?
b. Was there a crime committed? If so, what was it?
c. Do privacy laws pertain to this movie? How so?
d. Would any laws that apply to this movie be local, state, federal,
international? Maybe a combination of these?
e. What kind of data or information is at risk? Is it something
personal (owned by an individual), or maybe financial (bank
robbery), health care industry (someone blackmailing someone
for health issues or even someone going to cause harm using
medical technology)?
f. If a particular rule or rules or laws are involved, be sure to
expand on them and how they are part of this story.
g. Was there a breach of systems? If so, do breach laws fit into
this? In what way?
h. Did the story line follow breach law reporting? Why or why not?
i. How are cyber law and criminal law depicted? Give detail.
j. What would you do differently if the story was up to you?

4. Now that I have given you this huge list, I want to be very clear:
YOU DO NOT NEED TO ADDRESS EACH OF THESE POINTS!!!
Please do not copy the list of my points and then respond to them. I
want you to write a paper, not answer a list of questions. I am
putting this list here just for you to consider and to remind you of
some of the things we covered.
5. You may want to address one specific topic based on what movie you
discuss. Not everything listed above is going to apply to a single
movie!!!
6. Your paper should be written in a professional manner. This means
using the following, when appropriate:
a. APA Title Page
b. Maybe a table of contents: done using the tools in Word, NOT
hand typed!
c. Executive Summary
d. Paper body
e. Page numbers
f. Headers
g. Headings
h. Paragraphs

i. Bullet points or number lists
j. Reference Page.
7. The paper needs to be 5 or more pages long, NOT including the
Reference page and Title pages. I know, I don’t usually tell you how
many pages to write. Five page minimum for this paper. Also, 11-12
font size, double space! This is a final project paper and worth 10% of
your grade. I want to see a professional paper.
8. I WILL be looking at spelling and grammar and taking points off for
excessive errors! Read your paper out loud, or to someone, or have
someone else read it for you and give feedback. Being able to write in
a professional manner is critical to your careers!
9. Putting photographs or other graphics into a paper makes it more
interesting to read and breaks up the text. Foot notes and end notes
are also helpful in a formal paper. If you are not familiar with these
things, look them up! Microsoft has an extensive tutorial section
online.
10. Use your imagination. Think about what you learned and how it
can apply to something outside of a textbook! I hope you have fun
