class and gender in the lives of men help to understand different experiences
of men in our society and avoid broad generalizations?

In the film CRASH, we saw many male
characters. In class we discussed the
impact on men’s lives as masculinity intersected with other identities such as
race, social class and ethnicity.

first make a list of male characteristics we usually consider as ideal.

socialization that we analyzed in terms of the films male characters was men’s experience as “protector” of the
family and as “provider” for the family.
