So the semester is over. If you’ve made it this far, you’ve managed to complete a full fifteen-week semester of British Literature without attending class or even meeting the professor, and not easy stuff, either: Beowulf, The Canterbury Tales, King Lear, Paradise Lost, and Gulliver’s Travels—even though some of you didn’t manage to get though them all, most of you did a lot. And you essentially did it yourself, since this has basically been a directed tutorial on the British model, rather than a traditional lecture class. Congratulations.

So what’s this discussion thread about? Basically what I ask every class every semester, be it fully online, remote instruction, or face-to-face: In a short paragraph, explain what you have gained from this class. In addition, you may wish to explain what your favorite selection was, and why; what you liked or disliked about the class; what you would like to see changed, expanded, deleted, et cetera. There is no correct answer to this, since it is purely your opinion; this is for my information and course revisions only, so all responses get full credit, nor will you be penalized for anything you say.
