Select an NP-hard problem that you might encounter. Write a 2-4 page paper describing how you would approach this problem.
• Define the problem.
• Describe a situation where you might encounter this problem in the future.
• Since the problem is NP-hard, an optimal solution is probably not feasible. Describe how you would attack the problem given the fact that it is NP-hard.
This is an individual project. No more than 2 students in the class will be permitted to work on the same problem. Email me your problem choice as well as an alternate choice as soon as possible.
