Full instructions from teacher: Write a short story inspired by the Dark Romantic movement and the short stories we have read by Hawthorne and Poe. While both stories we read feature a man and a woman in romantic relationships, don’t feel limited by that one structure; be creative in your depiction of humanity’s innate corruption. Your short story must be highly descriptive and feature complex characters, but it does not need to be realistic.
