Texas is home to multiple legislative actors who work on the behalf of citizens in designated districts.
The legislators convene every two years to address problems and enact solutions by way of legislative
proposals and bills. Your research assignment is to discover who represents you. There are multiple
parts to this research project so follow the instructions carefully to ensure that you meet all the
requirements for this project. The only permitted resources for this project are listed below.
Instructions:
1. Identify your U.S. House of Representatives and the congressional district numbers that each
one serves. Choose one of the two U.S. Representatives and write a paragraph highlighting their
committee assignment, when they were elected, their education, professional, political party,
and the number of years in Congress.
➢ Identify and provide a summary of at least two bills authored, co-authored, or
sponsored or co-sponsored by each of the U.S. Representatives.

number each serves. Choose one of the state representatives and write a paragraph

state senators and write a paragraph highlighting their committee assignment, when they were

sponsored or co-sponsored by one of the State Senators.
➢ Using information from https://www.census.gov/mycd/ identify the SELECTED
EDUCATION CHARACTERISTICS for the Population age 25 and over and share the data.
