-Paper has clearly identifiable section that explains ideas from assigned readings
-Paper has clearly identifiable sections that give author’s argument. (Argument is not substantive.)
-Paper does not contain redundant expressions of the same assertions

Demonstrates Knowledge of Assigned Readings. 4 points
-Paper contains detailed, precise, readable account of at least core argument or idea from assigned reading (or other reading authorized by instructor.)
