Are there any current actions being taken against misinformation that you see as successful?

For the Unit 3 project, we’ll be continuing with this theme by using
everything you’ve learned over the course of the semester to decide what actually needs
to be done about misinformation. You can focus this on your smaller, more individual
topics, or you can talk about misinformation more broadly. When you’re conceptualizing
this project, think through the following questions:
1) Do you think misinformation is damaging to our society? Why or why not?
2) If you think misinformation is damaging, in what ways? If you think it’s not as big of
a deal, why?
3) Should more action be taken to combat misinformation? If so, what type of action?
4) Are there any current actions being taken against misinformation that you see as
successful? What are these actions, and why are they successful?
5) Basically, why should we take on your position and fight for your solutions?
