What are your takes on confessional poetry and language poetry?
To me, both are of interest for me if I were to write a poem or a story. I view confessional as something I would find success with because of how it is developed through first hand knowledge and experiences. I am a fan of developing ideas and writing from experience and in teaching others through what I have found successes or failures in during life events. I think confessional poetry is important in the progressive movements because if we are absent of confessional poetry, we lose out on direct lines from those experiencing these struggles directly.
Language poetry is important because it forces the readers to find and analyze the meaning of the poetry. Themes keep the world moving north and without meaning and themes in writing, we fail to find progression as a species, so being that language poetry forces us to understand meaning makes it a very critical type of literature. What is your opinion on these two?
