For your final paper:
You will write a case study on a case that has impacted a business. You may choose any case that is of interest
to you. When writing your case study, I would like you to include a discussion of the following: very briefly
the facts of the case (should be no more than a paragraph, as I can read cases myself), the decision of the court
– was it fair and just or should it have been a different decision, how the company could have avoided
litigation and the impacts of the court’s decision, was it possible for these parties to engage in alternative
dispute resolution, and lastly, does this case impact the businesses goodwill (why or why not). Please be
certain to use the terminology that you learned in MGT 240 and in this class to articulate your points. I have
posted both writing and research resources on Blackboard.
The paper shall not be more than four (4) pages in length, with 1inch margins, 12 point font –Times
New Roman, double spaced, with numbered pages. Please be certain to include a cover page. The page limit
includes any executive summary through the end of your work, and excludes your cover sheet, reference
section and any appendices. I anticipate that all written work will be very well supported with credible sources
and properly cited to said sources, both in-text and with a works cited. It is further anticipated that you will
offer more than a recitation of your research. Meaning, I expect that your papers will have true analysis and
original thoughts. You are required to use proper APA format style for your citations. Listing weblinks is
never proper format and will get you no credit.
