So for this week I choose an article about the chemical I am using for my project. This was difficult, as with fentanyl, there are many different articles found that have varying degrees of credibility, which forced me to really vet the article before posting my discussion post. The article is entitled The history and development of the fentanyl series. I think that it is an important article, as It gives background to the reasons and purpose of fentanyl, so we can better understand it and how it has been used going against its original purpose. The article also speaks to the capitalist shadow in the fentanyl industry and how that plays a part in its over manufacturing and distribution. The article is tied to Science direct, which partners with many different writers and colleges to add to its online journal, as well as the University of Utah School of medicine. The article has the publisher and Authors information displayed in a very visible location. The article has been cited by others in over 156 different papers, journals and articles. The article itself uses sound quotations and figures which are properly cited and credited. And the article itself is also located in the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management. Reading the article, The information is clear, and understandable. This article by all accounts can be considered credible and usable in research papers and articles.
