Be sure to support your position with research.
The letter should include a background of the issue(s), an explanation of its importance, a local example of how the issue(s) affect the community, and your position on the issue(s). Please direct your letter to the appropriate individual who can act on the request. For instance, if you are advocating for a policy change within a hospital, the head of the hospital might be the most appropriate target audience of your letter. If you are asking for change at a federal level, your federal representative would be the appropriate target audience of your letter.
Length: 5-7 pages, not including title or reference pages
References: Include a minimum of four scholarly resources.
Your letter should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards.
