This writing assignment focuses on applying conflict
resolution strategies from this module to the hypothetical linked above, where
you are resolving a police shooting-based conflict in a community “town hall”
meeting. More specifically, this
assignment will apply two tools/steps for effective communication and two
techniques for active, empathetic, and responsive listening. Moreover, the assignment will meaningfully
demonstrate how the chosen tools and techniques will facilitate the Chief’s
goals for the town hall meeting.
The assignment will be a maximum of 500 words. You will be
graded down if your essay is over 500 words. Please disclose the word count of
the assignment in a logical place on the assignment itself. Note that the word count only applies to the
core substance of the paper; the cover page, references, and other ancillary
elements do not count towards the word count. Failure to disclose the word
