Determine your Company Strategy
Now that you have learned a bit about the importance of company direction (mission, vision, values, and objectives), before “official” competition begins next week in the BSG game, you must set your company’s direction.
Prepare a strategic vision statement for your company. It should be at least one sentence long and no longer than a brief paragraph. What would be a good slogan that captures the essence of your strategic vision and that could be used to help communicate the vision to company personnel, shareholders, and other stakeholders? (Remember, don’t make it generic.)
Develop a mission statement.
What are your core values?
What are your company’s financial objectives? What are your company’s strategic objectives?
Lastly, include an explanation of how your vision, mission, core values, and objectives will drive your company.
Complete this on the attached template. The sections above are all you need to complete on the template this week.
The answers to these questions should NOT be generic. Think about the type of shoes you will be selling. Are they low quantity, high-quality pricey shoes marketed to a nitch environmentally conscience consumer in only one or two areas of the global market? Or are you looking to manufacture high quantity, low-cost shoes in more economically areas globally and then sell them to retailers like Wal-Mart? Or are you looking to produce averaged price shoes with superior manufacturing methods? Your report should reflect your direction. Be as specific as you can. Your work should be formal and should reflect the text, simulation, as well as your cumulative business knowledge. You are expected to cite your sources, like your textbook when any term you use is not common knowledge! Use the simulation decision template to submit this assignment.
