English 12 Synthesis Essay
Essential Question: What forces impact society’s notions of gender and sexuality?
In this essay, you will be asked to answer our unit’s essential question by synthesizing two texts to support your theories. The texts do not have to be written. Feel free to use auditory, digital, or visual texts, but be prepared to reference and cite them as instructed. Your essay must include one of the texts that we evaluated as a class. The other can be a text of your choosing, or you may elect to use a second text we evaluated in class. You cannot choose both texts you used for your Gender and Sexuality paragraph, but you can elect to use one of them. Youcan reference more than two texts if you feel it strongly supports your thesis, but ensure you are focusing on two. Below are the texts we analyzed:
