Detours – Paths to Avoid

Some researchers carelessly misinterpret data or improperly attribute sources, and others do so on purpose. Copying and pasting others’ work or virtually stealing their ideas are academic crimes! Getting people to respond to interviews or surveys without going through the proper approval protocols violates their privacy and the institution’s standards of ethics. Leaving out data that do not conform to our expectations is also an academic pitfall that destroys the validity of the research. Whether accidental or purposeful, errors like these not only invalidate your research, they also question your ethics. From that perspective, develop an original response to the following questions:
Is it possible to purchase a dissertation or degree online? Provide at least one example that seems to advertise such. How do you feel about that?
Find and post a quotation about ethical leadership, and explain why you selected it. (The quotation may just reflect ethical leadership without using the word “ethical.”)
Explain why the quotation is relevant to you and your dissertation.
