Directions: Your personal leadership philosophy paper will consist of
three sections. The paper must be at least 2 pages but no more than 3 pages in
length, one-inch margins, double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12-point font.

The paper must respond to the following prompt:

1.
(½ page minimum) Nancy Huber
describes in her book, Leading From Within, that “a
leadership philosophy is a personal lens through which we see how to behave as
a leader. It emanates from the core and serves as the moral and ethical compass
which gives direction to our action” (p. 54). Reflect on your own experience,
personal values and beliefs. Now, describe your personal leadership philosophy.
Include what leadership means to you and why it is important to contemporary
society.

2.
(1-page minimum) You have been
reading Introduction to Leadership: Concepts and Practice (4th ed.). and been prompted to take questionnaires at the end
of each chapter. Reflect on your results from
at least two of these questionnaires. What does this information say about you
and your leadership styles?

3.
(½ page minimum) Look back at the
different chapters of Introduction to Leadership: Concepts and
Practice (4th ed.) you have read so far. What are at least two
takeaways from the book on leadership you will be sure to use when practicing
leadership in the future? Why will you be utilizing these particular
practices?
