In units 5 and 6 we covered informal fallacies, hypothetical reasoning and the differences between science and supersition. We learned about fallacies of relevance, weak induction, presumption, ambiguity, and illicit transference. We studies main attributes of hypothetical reasoning in science, difference between empirical and hypothetical hypotheses and the criteria for tentative acceptance of hypotheses. Lastly, we looked at the differences between superstition and science through the criteria of evidentiary support, objectivity and integrity.
