You are to read the article entitled, “Why Were Africans Enslaved?” After reading the selection, you are to type and submit a one page reaction paper. Be mindful of the description of a reaction paper provided in the syllabus. (A reaction paper consists of two parts, a summary of the passage read and the student’s personal response to the information.) In this reaction paper, the “personal response” section should indicate which author you feel made the more compelling argument for why Africans were chosen as a source of slave labor in the New World, Williams, or Jordan.
