The purpose of the authentic leadership essay assignment
is for you to analyze your own leadership for its authenticity. To do this, you
are tasked with reading the assigned articles for the authentic leadership
module and asking/answering questions related to authentic leadership. This
essay requires that you are honest and transparent in your assessment of your
leadership. By reflecting on your own leadership, you are working on developing
your self-awareness, a key component of leadership development. To this end,
you will answer the following:

Using
EACH perspective presented in the authentic leadership readings, analyze your
own leadership. Where does your leadership fit into these perspectives?

2.
What
are the areas that you need to work on (specifically related to the concepts
presented in the assigned authentic leadership readings NOT generally)?

Writing
Conventions:
1.
The
minimum length required for this essay is 3 pages, and the maximum length
allowed for the essay is 4 pages.
2.
Begin
your essay on first line of your Word document (there is no need to include
your name, the class number, the professor’s name, or the essay number in your
document).
3.
Use
1” margins, 12-point Times New Roman font, and double-spacing.
4.
Eliminate
all extra spacing in your essay; this includes extra space after paragraphs. To
do this in Word, select “format,”, then “paragraph,” then change spacing for
both before and after to 0 pt.
5.
Be
sure to use properly APA-formatted in-text citations and references (the
reference page is not included in the page count maximum).
