Interview with Chief Nursing Officer

The purpose of this assignment is to meet with the CNO of your organization to develop a partnership towards planning your future career trajectory. It also provides an opportunity to examine Nursing leadership and career progression. Working in unison with your CNO and organization will help you to envision your goals. Professional opportunities may be available in the future. Awareness leads to the possibility to step into a new role after graduation with the right set of skills, and academic preparation. If you choose to remain at your current work site it will be beneficial to collaborate with key personnel who can help you to achieve your desired career plan. The first step is to interview your CNO to find out more about the organizations strategic plans, mission, needs, strengths, weaknesses, and Nursing vision.
