Predictions Orwell got wrong.
o 1984 is not simply a prediction of the future, we readers can treat it that way. But Orwell couldn’t
possibly seen more than 70 years into the future with no wrong guesses. (For example, Orwell
writes in 1984, “Technological development under the Party is virtually nonexistent,” but reality
was much different.) Make a comparison of ideas or events Orwell seems to believe in, but that
worked out differently.
