the paper is about implementing something technological within the healthcare system to improve patient care. on the pediatric ward on many occassion the child was to discharge to a stranger or wrong adult becuase of the nursing shortage mistakes during the discharge process has increased. so my idea is during the admission process a picture of the responsible adult for the child is taken. this photo is a part of the pediatric patient’s chart. during discharge the nurse have to activitation link and a photo of the patient’s parent comes up. the nurse in the emr have to acknowledge right patient, right guardian. the nurse makes a comment. once that is done the nurse able to print the discharge paper. the nurse may not bypass this link or override. this process have to take place in order to complete the discharge process.
