Following each module, consider how and why you might apply that concept/ method to study sexuality, or how that concept/approach is situated in the field of sexuality studies. The goal of these memos is to help you brainstorm and develop various ideas for a possible research proposal, and think about how a humanistic social science methodology connects to our field. Reading memos are informal comments on the key methodological questions you see in the readings assigned for that week, issues you thought worthy of further discussion, and analytic problems you think are important in the readings. I also encourage you to include one or two quotes that you find particularly intriguing, challenging, or worth discussing. The purpose of these memos is to share reflections on our common reading while engaging in your individual interests. Memos should be turned in on the discussion board posts so you can engage with the work of other classmates, however, you should also be saving them in your citation software (ref works recommended) to be able to return to at a later date.
